Head Start & Preschool

Children qualify for the preschool program based on family income (children must be 4 years old by August 1) or are eligible for special needs services (any time after age 3), although some programs offer tuition-based slots for those who are not eligible. Programs are generally 4 half-days a week, although some programs are longer or more days. Contact your district to ask for an eligibility screening and details of their program.
